(PCM) A rather disgusting and quite disturbing incident took place at the Scootney Springs Elementary School in Othello, Washington. A 8-year old student was ordered by his teacher to unclog a bathroom toilet using only his bare hands.
The students parents are understandably outraged and when their son came home and told them about the incident that took place they were completely shocked. The boy claimed that when he told his teacher, Brent Taylor, a 23-year old teaching veteran, that the bathroom toilet was clogged Taylor allegedly ordered the boy to clear out the toilet with his hands saying “It’s nothing I haven’t done before.”.… Full Story

Seriously, a lot of the food pictured in the images posted by the teens on social media looks like some kind of animal slop, certainly not an appetizing and healthy lunch that we would expect our school children to be receiving. (PCM) Folks in Maryland’s Montgomery County are outraged over the area school boards recent decision to have names of holidays such as Christmas and Easter, as well as, Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah stricken from next year’s school calendar.
According to the Washington Post, the Montgomery County school board voted 7 to 1 to eliminate the references to all religious holidays on the school’s calendar for 2015-2016. The issue was brought to a vote after Muslim community leaders requested that the Muslim Holy Day of Eid al-Adha be listed on the calendars as well.
The school district claims that students will still be off for both the Christian and Jewish holidays, however they will just not be labeled on the calendar in print.… Full Story

(PCM) U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Sherwood Baker, who has served in the United States army for over twenty years including tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan, was recently denied entrance to his daughters school because he was wearing his army uniform.
The security guard at the high school in Michigan informed Lt. Colonel Baker that some of the students may not understand or might be offended by the uniform. They gave him two choices, telling him he could either phone into the office or go home and change his clothes before returning. Baker’s wife claims that not only one but four staff members at the school supported the policy.… Full Story

(PCM) Hayleigh Black, a 16 year old high school student, from Alabama was recently sent home on the very first day of school because school officials found her hair color to be disruptive and unnatural.
Black has been dying her hair the same shade of bright red for several years and her mother claims that for some reason or another it was never a problem until this year. Black was one of three students who were all sent home on the same day due to hair color. One students hair was pink and another’s was orange.
Despite criticism, the principal of the school claims that the action to send the students home was in accordance with school policy.… Full Story

(PCM) You have to wonder sometimes where teens even come up with the ideas for some of these crazy and dangerous games that they find appealing for some reason. The newest game that students in a Connecticut middle school are playing is called “Eraser Challenge” and it causing some concern among school administrators and parents.
The game involves teens “erasing” their skin while saying the alphabet and coming up with a word for each letter. Once the letter “Z” is reached they stop the game and compare injuries with their friends. (Yeah, sounds like a fun time to us…..NOT!)
A letter sent home with students at the Connecticut school, urged parents to speak with their children about the dangers of the game and claims that it is not just a few students who are playing, but more like dozens.… Full Story
