Kmart Brings The Nightmare Before Christmas To Life

Kmart3

(PCM) Kmart is creating a true Christmas nightmare for holiday shoppers as they have now been informed that items they paid for as presents via online layaway are currently “out of stock”.

Kmart had initially told customers that that if they had paid their layaway balance off by December 14th the items they purchased would be delivered in time for Christmas.  Now, the company is cancelling orders and informing customers that they will be receiving a refund for the items they purchased.

Here’s the problem … the refunds will not be issued in time from customers to purchase new presents to replace the Kmart “out of stock” items in time for Christmas.… Full Story

Mike-Jeffries1

(PCM) Is it wrong that I am a little bit happy to learn that Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries has announced his retirement from the company effective immediately.

The news of Jeffries retirement comes after it was revealed that the company’s third quarter earnings were about 60 million under expectation.

Also due to all the controversy surrounding Jeffries comments about the brand’s target market and demographic the company began declining in popularity at a rapid pace.

Jeffries came under fire for his remarks that the clothing retailer was only concerned about their clothing being worn by thin and attractive individuals.… Full Story

Turkey Recall Circulating Social Media Turns Out To Be A Hoax

turkey1

(PCM) We all know just how fast false information can spread, especially in the day and age of social media. Many people who are gearing up to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday received quite a scare when a “new report” began circulating online claiming that millions of frozen turkeys were being recalled.

The report claimed that the turkeys were being recalled because they contained a dangerous illness that could be transferred to humans and was not destroyed by cooking the bird. The fake report even quoted the CDC (Centers For Disease Control) claiming “The CDC has confirmed that millions of turkeys have been recalled due to safety concerns over an avian virus that the birds may be harboring.”

Here’s the issue: No one at the CDC has made such a statement and the supposed “new report” is from a very well-known fictitious site called The National Report.… Full Story

Lamm came up for the idea for the doll in hopes that it would urge people to forget about their bodies in general and focus more on what they can do rather than what they look like.… Full Story

Veteran Pays It Forward For Soldiers At A Convenience Store

Veteran1

(PCM) Since today happens to be Veteran’s Day we thought it only too fitting to share the heartwarming story about a veteran whose pay it forward attitude brightened the day for a group of soldiers.

The veteran, who did not wish to be identified, was recently shopping in an Illinois convenience store and then as he was cashing out, proceeded to pay for the items of nearly a dozen uniformed soldiers who also happened to be shopping at the store at that time.

The bill ended up coming to about $70 and the vet spent a few moments chatting with the soldiers, thanking them for their service, and telling them to stay safe and they all exchanged handshakes.… Full Story
